EnviousWispr Is Now on Android
EnviousWispr is now a free dictation app for Android too. Tap the bubble beside your keyboard, speak, and finished text lands where you type. Your voice never leaves your phone.

EnviousWispr is now on Android. It is the same idea as the Mac app: a free dictation app that turns what you say into finished writing, with your voice staying on your device. On a phone, that means you tap a small bubble beside your keyboard, speak, and polished text lands in the app you were typing in.
It is free on Google Play, with no account, no subscription and no ads.
How it works on a phone
You keep the keyboard you already use. When a text box is active, a floating bubble appears just above the keyboard. Tap it to start, then tap the check when you are done. Or hold it while you talk and let go to finish.
Your words land at the cursor in apps such as Gmail, WhatsApp and Chrome. If an app does not accept them, EnviousWispr tells you where they went, usually the clipboard or History, so you do not have to say it again.
Your voice stays on your phone
Speech recognition runs on the phone itself, and audio is never uploaded. After setup downloads the two models, dictation works without an internet connection.
AI polish has the same choice it has on the Mac. It can run on the phone with S1-mini, a small model that works offline, or in the cloud with your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini key. With cloud polish on, the selected text and your custom words go directly to the provider you chose. Your audio stays on the phone either way, and nothing you dictate passes through Envious Labs.
Writing that is ready to send
Nobody speaks in finished sentences, and that matters even more on a phone, where fixing a message with your thumbs is the slow part. EnviousWispr removes filler words and puts punctuation in place. With S1-mini, the AI Polish tab lets you choose the tone, from casual to formal, whether spoken lists become bullet points, and whether a greeting and sign-off you dictate are laid out as an email.
The Dictionary tab teaches it the names and terms that matter to you, including the ways they tend to be misheard. History saves your completed dictations on your phone, ready to copy again.
What you need
EnviousWispr for Android needs Android 13 or newer, a 64-bit ARM phone with at least 6 GB of memory, and about 1.2 GB of free storage for the two on-device models. It works best on recent flagship phones such as the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Pixel 8. Many mid-range phones work too, with dictation and AI polish taking a few seconds longer. Entry-level phones with older processors are not supported. Wi-Fi is recommended for setup.
Get started
Install it from Google Play. Setup walks you through the downloads, the microphone and the Accessibility access EnviousWispr uses to place your words, then lets you try a dictation before you leave. If you get stuck, the Android help section covers setup, the bubble, and what to do when text does not land.
If you already use EnviousWispr on your Mac, the two apps are separate: there is no account, so your History and Dictionary stay on each device.
