Extended Thinking / Reasoning Mode
When to let the AI take longer over your text.
Deep reasoning is a setting that gives the AI more time to work on your text before it rewrites it. That extra time can help when what you are asking for is complicated.
Turning it on
Deep reasoning is off when you install EnviousWispr. Once you switch it on, it applies to every dictation you make, not only the ones you think are complicated.
Open settings. Click the EnviousWispr icon in the menu bar and select Settings.
Go to AI Polish. Click the AI Polish tab.
Switch on Deep reasoning. Turn on Deep reasoning. The switch only appears when the option and model you have chosen support it, so if you cannot find it, that is why.
Which options support it
Deep reasoning is available only on certain cloud models.

The trade-off
Switching this on changes how long you wait for every dictation to finish, not only the complicated ones. Leave it off for ordinary use, and turn it on when a complicated request is not coming out right.
