The Bubble Does Not Appear on Android
What to check when the EnviousWispr bubble does not show beside the keyboard.
The bubble appears only when a text box is active, and only while Android’s Accessibility access for EnviousWispr is on. Check these in order.
Tap into a text box
Put the cursor in a text box. The bubble shows when a text box you can type in has focus. Tap into the message or search field you want. In split screen, the window with the text box must be the one you are typing in.
Check Accessibility access
Open the Permissions page. In EnviousWispr, open Settings, then Permissions. If it says Auto-paste was switched off or Auto-paste is not connected, follow the steps in Accessibility Access on Android. The bubble cannot appear until the service is back on.
Check that you did not hide it
Open another text box. If you dragged the bubble onto Drop to hide, it stays hidden until the next text box you open. Tap into a different field, and it comes back.
Check that your phone is supported
If EnviousWispr shows This phone isn’t supported, dictation and model downloads are turned off on that phone, so tapping the bubble shows EnviousWispr isn’t supported on this phone instead of recording. See Which Android Phones Are Supported.
Start without the bubble
While you sort it out, you can still dictate from the Quick Settings tile or the microphone button in the app. Your words go to the clipboard, or to History if you turned Auto-copy to clipboard off.
